True innovation in Vocational Education and Training (VET) doesn’t come from processes. It comes from people.
This is the inspiring takeaway from the two-day event dedicated to “The Human Factor in VET,” organized by EfVET in collaboration with Piazza dei Mestieri and proudly hosted at our Turin headquarters.
Changing Lives Through Training
How can vocational training truly transform a person’s life? Every day at Piazza dei Mestieri, we find the answer in the eyes and stories of the youth and adults who enter our doors. Through our educational and training programs, they don’t just learn a trade—they rebuild self-confidence, develop vital skills, and actively shape their own future.
For two days, our campus turned into a vibrant hub for ideas, shared experiences, and best practices. We welcomed over 30 professionals from training organizations across Italy, all driven by a single, crucial question:
How can we keep putting the individual truly at the center of vocational education?
Collaborative Tools for New Challenges
Through hands-on workshops, open discussions, and co-design sessions, we shared tools and methodologies designed to tackle some of VET’s most pressing contemporary challenges:
- Guiding youth and adults through pathways of social inclusion and well-being.
- Fostering soft skills development.
- Enhancing language training and career guidance.
Hospitality, collaboration, and open dialogue are the core values that guide our daily work. Over these two days, we saw these values come alive through professionals who work tirelessly in their local communities with the exact same conviction: the future of VET is built together.
A Growing Community
This event reminded us that a professional community is much more than a network of organizations. It’s a living community of people who never stop learning, questioning, and co-creating new answers to today’s educational needs. A heartfelt thank you to Paolo Nardi, Sylvia Liuti, and Rita Festi for sharing this vision, and to all the professionals who contributed their expertise, enthusiasm, and generosity. Together, you made these two days a true opportunity for mutual growth.
